Google Doodle Marks Famous Roswell Anniversary

Whether you are a skeptic or a believer in the existence of aliens, you’ve got to love today’s new Google doodle honoring what is arguably the prototype for all modern-day UFO and alien cover-up conspiracy theories.

Sixty-six years ago today, witnesses near Roswell, New Mexico reported seeing flying saucers and a suspicious crash scene, complete with strange unidentified material, and even supposed alien bodies scattered around on a local rancher’s property.  Over the years the U.S. government tried to put an end to all the speculation by claiming the recovered materials were part of high-altitude balloons and the accounts of ‘bodies’ and spaceship wreckage were simply crash-test dummies and elaborate hoaxes.

This controversial incident remains today the most legendary UFO incident on record and has spawned countless reports of encounters with extraterrestrials—fueling the imagination of science fiction writers and Hollywood producers alike.

In honor of this mysterious event, Google is rolling out a quirky,  interactive adventure game in black and white on its homepage. Click on the alien head that replaces the second letter ‘O’ in the search engine’s logo and users get to help the hapless little extraterrestrial recover parts of his broken spaceship.

I have to comment on this one. Personally, I believe that a UFO did crash land in Roswell, New Mexico, and the remains of the craft (and it’s occupants) were recovered and transported to a military base by the US Army. The truth was briefly revealed, and was quickly covered up by Military higher-ups as a form of damage control. I do not believe the reasons that were given by the military at all. Come on, do they really think that we are stupid enough to believe all this controversy and damage control was over a weather balloon crash? and what about all of the eye-witness accounts of the people who were there, who were intimidated by shadowy people not to talk? the military and our government doesn’t want us to know the truth. Perhaps they would prefer if we stop asking questions and watch more reality TV shows. Perhaps they do not think that we are intelligent enough to know and handle the truth. I disagree with such arrogant attitudes and I say it is time that we are told what really happened out there that day in 1947.

I feel there is a substantial amount of proof to prove the existence of the US government hiding their knowledge regarding aliens. I feel there is no doubt or argument whether aliens are real or not, the odds are to far favour of them but as to whether the US and other governments know of them, I feel there is plenty proof. All the things mentioned by “Long time NG Subscriber” prior and other influential people beyond people who worked on the Roswell crash site such as astronauts, especially the earlier ones, also came out and said the government knows of aliens and are covering it up. I would suppose the bigger question is why cover it up? Maybe the US want any recovered technology or enhancements due to it for themselves?

Dozens of high-ranked retired military officers (despite death threats from the powers that be) who were witnesses to the recovery have come forward thru the years to publicly confirm the crash landing of an ET piloted craft and its subsequent recovery. Plenty of authenticated documented evidence (Majestic 12, etc) to support their statements. Time to end the mainstream media charade.

You mean to inform us, our American Government and military are doing an about face in 2013 by admitting UFO’s are real?
You mean to tell us the locals who were forced at gun point to come no closer or be killed were in danger for t heir lives and our military is owning up to a coverup?
So, now all the mockery made against of sightings were actually correct and that our government and our American military are admitting their 60 years of coverup?
You mean a meteor really didn’t crash in Russia after all?
So, it really was a crashed UFO that hit Russia?
What else is our government covering up and will someday admitting to our citizens? My guess is:
There truly are 7 kinds of aliens living underground in 50′ diameter tunnels for thousands of miles throughout America after all?
Yep! And I am Stan Soboleski and I agree with my questions!

Perhaps it is time to designate a commemorative “Unidentified Alien Day” ~ ergo, “Columbus Day”.
