Going Down

Much like judo and other martial arts, wrestling is as much about the art of movement as it is about brute strength. Each community has its own local fighting style. Here, after a leg sweep the two fighters are about to hit the ground. The referee is poised to determine the winner. In this case, the two landed together and the match was ruled a tie. If a victory is not decisive, no points are given; ties are very common. Because the event is as much about the theater and artistry of the fighting, winning is not singularly important.
