Ex-CIA Agent Claims to Have Seen Roswell UFO Evidence

Huffington Post Weird has a news item about Chase Brandon, a 35-year veteran of the CIA who claims to have seen a file with information about the reputed Roswell, New Mexico UFO crash in 1947–an event that happened 65 years ago.

“It was not a damn weather balloon — it was what it was billed when people first reported it,” Brandon said. “It was a craft that clearly did not come from this planet, it crashed and I don’t doubt for a second that the use of the word ‘remains’ and ‘cadavers’ was exactly what people were talking about.”

Brandon does have a sci-fi book to promote now, and he won’t reveal any more details about the files he says he saw at CIA headquarters in Virginia, so you be the judge.

    i have seen 3 separate ufos and that is just what they are. unidentified flying objects. All that i can say is that i know what they were not

    Yes, it may look like we are living in a world where this is an absolute poverty of aliens (leaving aside those coming over the border from Mexico, or those microscopic things living at the bottom of our stomach). And it is true that the main problem scientists are having at the moment is not being able to see these elusive critters emanating from space. However, as the late Dr Carl Sagan once said, “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.”

    And if genuine aliens who might be visiting the Earth are doing all they can to avoid us in order to preserve our culture and study us, it might be harder to expect aliens to come down and ask for directions.

    As for “portopottys”, all the aliens have to do is solve the problem of travelling close to the speed of light and then the distances (and traveling times) are dramatically decreased by those who participate in the flight. Remember, for those people sitting on a planet, they will believe it takes years or decades for anyone to reach the nearest stars. However, those who participate in the high-speed flight will enjoy such short journey times that they could be zipping to a planet like ours, have a picnic in some isolated countryside, have the equivalent of alien “prune juice” and zip back to their home planet to relieve themselves in all its glory. No problems there. Certainly not beyond the realms of science to achieve (so long as we don’t break the speed of light barrier). Well, that’s what Einstein believed (and we developed the mathematics to support his belief). Fortunately other scientists now have the experiments to prove it.

    So the next question is, is there a technology we can use to achieve something like this?. The answer might surprise some people. There is a poorly studied area of electromagnetism regarding charged particles that emit radiation that seem to behave in a very unusual way. Accelerating forces to be found here are quite extreme and needs further exploration. Until then, a good scientist must keep his/her mind open to the possibilities.

    But if this is just a question of “No scientist has ever seen an alien, so the subject has to be all bollocks”, think again. There are scientists whose job it is to find evidence supporting the existence of ETs (i.e. exo-biologists, astronomers etc). And it may come as a surprise to know that most scientists are in favour of the argument that ETs most likely do exist (the only problem is not being able to see them, which NASA is doing all it can to find out within our solar system).

    Travel further out beyond our solar system and reach the nearest stars, the evidence is most likely out there already beckoning us to see (hence we get back to the technological question).

    And if they exist and have had enough time to solve certain technological issues, we can’t ignore the possibility that the evidence could already exist and is being kept hidden by the USAF in some secret place like Area 51 or wherever they think is safe to study the evidence without the public knowing about it (technology can fail and one should expect crashes to happen at some point in time). The question is how do we put these people in a difficult position by the scientists to the point where they will be forced to reveal the evidence so we can all see what it is?

    I doubt this ex-CIA will do it. If anything, he is probably lining his pocket with the proceeds of the sale of his book more than anything else.

    The evidence will probably come either by solving the technological problem mentioned above, or we analyse more closely things like the Roswell metallic foil mentioned by witnesses with its shape-memory effect. Because if scientists find out the USAF did study these alloys and began the work after the incident near Roswell (instead of before to support a “man-made” explanation), then we may have a big enough scientific wedge to ram up the USAF’s backside to force a release, with extra pressure from a congressional hearing, of the evidence to the public.

    Basically, there is nothing wrong with believing, just so long as you can find direct evidence to support it, or at least plenty of indirect evidence to show what you believe is likely to be true. The essence of science is to be “curious” and to “find out”. Those who don’t seek the evidence and believe in anything are “religious” people. People who do seek the evidence are true scientists.

    I don’t know having lived in New Mexico for many years and learning of the culture there I have my doubts that there is any truth to it being a real UFO. The locals like to make up stories to bring in tourists. Now this man having been an ex-CIA agent gives some plausibility to there being some truth that it was something more than a weather balloon, but how much more? I guess until we have the evidence to be dissected and investigated before an open public eye we may never know the real truth.

    No surprise the X-CIA has a Sci-Fi book coming out. From the best I’ve been able to figure out, the believe that extra terrestrials have/are visiting earth is the result of super news papers trying to sell copy by using super sensational headlines.

    There is not one scrap of physical evidence for the existence of aliens, but the same is true of God(s) and it has not stopped people from “believing”.

    I wonder JM, did the Germans ever invent shape-memory alloys by any chance, in particular the dark-grey titanium-based shape memory alloy known as nickel-titanium (NiTi)?

    In case you didn’t know, NiTi is actually the world’s most powerful shape-memory alloy, the lightest titanium-based shape-memory alloy in existence, and one of the toughest in terms of resisting the high temperatures of a blow torch as well as garnering the high hardness characteristics with regular bending of the alloy to resist cutting and ripping. Surely an ideal material for use in the aerospace industry. Well, apparently that’s what the witnesses allegedly observed in the Roswell metallic foil (ie. dark-grey, returns to its original shape, and tough too). Now, according to http://www.sunrisepage.com, the alloy was studied by USAF at Wright-Patterson AFB after 1947, but not in 1947 for some reason. And it wasn’t the only shape-memory alloy studied by the USAF at the time too. Did the USAF get it from the Germans? I doubt it. the latest research from SUNRISE is telling us the technology to make a high purity NITi or other titanium-based shape-memory alloy was not available in 1947 or earlier. Might be worth your time to read the book from the SUNRISE web site.

    Hey David, you say the ETs decided to crash because they felt like it or had this selfless desire to do so? Well, assuming we are dealing with ETs, wasn’t it reported by William Brazel and his family that an “odd explosion” was heard in the midst of a severe electrical thunderstorm? It doesn’t sound to me like a desire for the ETs to crash land all by their little selves (well, it was claimed the bodies were small and slender). I would imagine they were helped along rather unwillingly to a fatal crash by a lightning bolt.

    Hi Jack Terry, I think you are right in saying we should stick to the original quotes of the witnesses and not depart from it. The original statements have a lot more to offer to the scientific community than subsequent so-called new witnesses that emerged in the late 1980s and 1990s (and even to this day if the CIA is now trying its best to debunk the Roswell case through possible hoax claims).

    And Frank, you are heading in the right direction. That work originated from SUNRISE and used by ex-USAF Roswell researcher Tom Carey and his friend Anthony Bragalia without acknowledging SUNRISE. Look at the titanium aspects more closely and see where it will lead you and others to.

    German tech from the war. Crashed; coverup. Not alien –just top secret.

    Then UFO types fill in the gaps(created by government for spy vs spy reasons) with UFOs as religious types would fill the gaps with god.

    What people don’t realize is that Roswell is a place of great selflessness and sacrifice on the part of the extraterrestrials or aliens. The spaceship that crashed at Roswell in 1947 was deliberately crashed into the ground by the aliens (resulting in the death of 3 or 4 of them) in order to draw the attention of mankind to their presence. Unfortunately the US government chose to cover it up. Someday this incident and place will be a memorial to their sacrifice and bravery. For more info see ufocoverup.org

    I believe the first account given for the remains collected was true! The person in the military that had threatened to kill a family if they didn’t keep quiet about the UFO remains should have been eliminated on the spot! I saw something in Southern Nevada late one night that I know was not from this earth because of where it came from. My brother saw part of the events! That’s all I have to say about this matter!

    Most folks don’t seem to take Brandon’s claim very seriously, but there are some aspects to the Roswell case that are well worth taking a closer lok at.
