Wild-caught African grey parrots in a market in Indonesia. These three parrots had highly interactive and social lives in the wild, socializing at gathering points, looking out for predators, and keeping track of the phenology of the different fruit trees in the home range. Is it ethical to suddenly remove them from this life?
